Apple's Stan Ng announced the new Apple Watch Series 5 is a substantial improvement over the previous iteration. It features a new always-on retina display. This makes the watchface visible at all times. With previous models, lowering your wrist would make the watch screen darken.
The Apple Watch Series 5 features an 18-hour battery life. A built-in compass has also been added, using the maps app, allowing users to integrate the compass app into the watchface. It'll also include latitude and longitude and vertical elevation. The Apple Watch Series 5 will also come with international emergency calling by default.
A multitude of new Apple Watch models were announced as well, including one version from Nike for athletic wear. Check them out in the gallery below.Apple also announced that the Apple Watch Series 3 would be priced down to $199. It's worth noting that the Series 3 has been previously listed at that price, but those were often sales prices, and the new announcement from Apple is regarding the product's MSRP price.
