Welcome to IGN's The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Walkthrough. This guide will help direct you to each of Link's main quests from beginning to end, including exploring great sky islands, investigating phenomena in various regions, delving through dungeon temples, and defeating tough bosses.
As a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom's main story quest can be tracked in Link's Adventure Log. It can be undertaken at any point and in many different orders – or avoided in favor of exploring the expansive and altered open world in search of new Shrines, taking on numerous Side Quests, or uncovering secrets deep underground. Be sure to use our Main Quest guide to help you get back on track if you happen to lose your place, or aren't sure where to go next.

Note that the sections are divided up below in terms of the Main Quests that you get while playing. However, many of these quests – like the order you complete dungeons – can be done in any order. Almost all of the Main Quests are technically optional in one way or another, and some will provide more benefits than others on the road to defeating Ganondorf and finding Princess Zelda.

Side Adventures and Side Quests
There are 60 Side Adventures in total, and 139 Side Quests (not counting Shrine Quests that unlock new shrine puzzles) hiding in all corners of Hyrule. These can be tracked in Link's Adventure Log. These quests can often be found by looking for characters that have a text box above their heads with a red !, but some can be found in very different ways.
